For the German speaking people  :)  :)  :)

An interested article about the 8.1 version.

Hi

I did add following comment:

Für Developper gibt es weitere mögliche Schritte, siehe wieder die Anleitung: «How to compile and install your own kernel», «How to build a package ?» sowie, neuerdings, «Setup a build bot». Hier steht am Schluß nicht weniger als: «If you did all the steps correctly, you should be able to start the compilation of your kde5 and kde5-extra collections.», im Falle des Beispiels für KD5!

Hi
I did made for you a translation of my above message in German (as my English is not "easy", I did have to change some details to make them better comprehensible):

«NuTyx is highly interesting as it opens many ways to use Linux enormous powerful. The installation over a not graphic base with in the web available binaries is astonish easy and fast as well as very complete for usual uses (for ex. with a relatively complete KDE5). The returning back to the not graphic base is also astonish easy (one command! NuTyx continues to be available and operable and to start without some problem, only, even, not in graphic mode! All own files stay preserved!). A new other graphic environment can immediately be re-installed after that (the installation of a graphic environment on the base is very fast) using binaries (Nutyx offers now Lxde integrated in GUI, Gui-extra, Xfce4, Mate, Gnome as well as Enlightenment), or it is now possible to use the base to start with the development of packages and, so, to increase your system. The way using binaries is not the only one possible way, as NuTyx offers the ability to compile completely  yourself the base! It doesn't happen full automatic: You find the adequate commands in the documentation (see chapter : "Build your own NuTyX") clearly proposed, and explained, so that you are getting an overview over that what really happens else if, it is so, yourself you only move text lines between little windows... I assume you will do it on a system in graphic mode (doesn't must to be a NuTyx system. The bash etc. commands have only to be compatible to those of LFS!). In that case, you only have to copy with drag and drop your commands between your browser window and the little monitor windows of an better monitor (Sakura, rox console, konsole) permitting those copying transactions, without to forget or alter some line.  The NuTyx documentation offers some other steps for developers, see pls the NuTyx site under "documentation": «How to compile and install your own kernel», «How to build a package ?» as well as the new chapter «Setup a build bot». You can read at the end of that chapter of the documentation: «If you did all the steps correctly, you should be able to start the compilation of your kde5 and kde5-extra collections.» in the case of, for ex., KDE5! For NuTyx a simple form of the GRUB installation is enough. NuTyx has an highly performant maintenance system. Different from LFS can NuTyx manage packages and dependencies, exactly as available in all great distributions. On very performant equipments, the rest of CPU capacity is high enough to continue to permit the use of the PC at compiling time (which is needing hours, of course!). You have so good access and use of your own files and parts of the system actually doing the compilation... Above informations are not given by a member of the NuTyx crew but by an anonymous user. It is possible that details differ today. One difficulty has to be recognized immediately before to decide to use or not NuTyx: If you need packages not being in the scope offered by NuTyx, it can be terrible difficult. Some one would probably also not be offered by the scope of LFS/BLFS packages. You have to find yourself how to satisfy the dependencies and realize the settings for the compilation. Today, it is so that former simple packages, like, for ex. Merkaartor (no Merkaartor is NOT dead as often publish in the press: A crew of developers continue to work to actualize it in the underground, pls see, if interesting, the message board of Merkaartor), needing in the future access to GPS, voice apps, etc. It can become terribly difficult for an individual use... An other detail is, that NuTyx does not offers some really minimal graphic base but continues to propose the old and not satisfying TWM for that (and without some good/acceptable .twmrc!). It is very uncomfortable...  It would be so easy to offer JWM (offering a vew as Kwine! Being able to manage background pictures, icones, etc. without some other add as the pictures itself) as well as leafpad and Rox-filer (Rox-filer offers an enormous scope of additional function, until the use as a kind of window manager!) as the minimal graphic equipment (some kind of Graphic base for NuTyx! BASlin (http://distro.ibiblio.org/baslinux/) else offers JWM as full graphic Linux on 2 floppy discs!) and if you will use NuTyx not for somewhat usual like office jobs, sound, pictures and media, but for completely other purposes like only CUPS, samba etc. you will probably regret don't to have those minimal graphic base and ask yourself why you have to install minimal Lxde to do that! As SliTaz (http://slitaz.org/en/), NuTyx is a product made in French speaking Switzerland. The mainly French crew helps.»

Thanks a lot for your post minimalist.

Some infos about the next coming 8.2 version:

Quote
Nutyx offers now Lxde integrated in GUI, Gui-extra, Xfce4, Mate, Gnome as well as Enlightenment
Unfortunatly as the team went down to .. two packagers only. Enlightenment will not be available anymore. If somebody is interested. The project is still active at github

Propose yours to be part of the xorg-twm package. They is a chance it will be integrated

Even with all the support from the (little) team and the proposed documentation ?
