Major problem after install
Thierry:
Hmmm, I must say, I'm lost now. Don't know what to check in your case. We are so much used to have everything working but your case is really special
myrddin:
For what is it worth, /etc/X11 is some sort of dummy directory, because even though it is listed, it does not exist.
I'll install on a spare HP laptop, that I can use. . I've swapped out the HDD for an SSD, and it has been running Debian for the last 4 or 5 months.
Nvida optimus laptops are very troublesome for some distros... Don't waste too much of your time... The Bumblebee package solves the Nvidia/nouveau confilct.....
Let me know if you come up with anything..
Regards
Richard
