I'm please to annonce the new ISO from my friend Miyo Linux.

It's a minimalist ISO with an high customise JWM Desktop Environnement. Beautifull.

Thank you! It's all Thierry's work on NuTyX though...I just themed it.  ;D

Hope you enjoy it! I like falkon too!  ;)

I installed it on my laptop and it is amazing. I would love to have cbatticon for battery monitoring since it is missing from repos. Will keep posting more while I configure Nutyx JWM according to my needs. Thanks for this lovely release.

Thanks saleem; nice to hear from you! I'm not familiar with cbatticon. I don't know if it would help or if you would like it, but if you enable the xfce4-power-manager, you can then add its icon to the system tray from the power manager's GUI. Hovering your mouse over the icon in the system tray shows battery usage. You can't see the mouse in the screenshot below, but it's there.  ;D

Hello all

I have run MIYO Linux (Devuan+openbox) on my old Sony NR11M for about a year now but decided to give the new NuTyX-jwm a spin. At the moment I have just got it on a usb running in live mode. The only problem I have is with the keyboard layout.

Selected the "uk" keyboard from the list and when filling in user details the keyboard layout is correct, but when live system has booted the keyboard reverts to a "us" layout. Checked /etc/sysconfig/console which states uk.map.

Also there are no keyboard maps in /lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/ but they are in /usr/share/keymaps/i386 although I doubt this is a factor.

Any help appreciated as is the work by both NuTyX and MIYO.

Hello Gaz83

Yes Indeed this bug will be ( I hope) fixed in the 11.3 release.

You need to adjust manualy the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-keyboard.conf file

add:
Option  "XkbLayout" "uk"
before the line:

EndSection

Thank you Thierry! I'm so sorry...I've been very busy lately and just now checked the forum.

Thank you for replying with the solution. I can now go ahead with a full install this weekend.

Hi rems; thank you.

I'm slowly getting it on github, and Thierry will put the finishing touches on it when it's finished. I've gotten sidetracked for awhile, but I hope to get it finished soon.

Thanks john!

Since posting those configs, I've made a few slight changes on the latest version. Hopefully, you'll be able to grab it from github soon. ;)

I do want to warn you...

I don't know if it will affect Alt or not, but the commands for the "Theme Changer" (in the .jwmrc files) may not work on some other Linux systems. I had to make scripts to get it to work on Devuan, and though the commands in the scripts are similar to what is used in NuTyX-JWM, they're different.  :o.  ;D

Thanks again!

john
