Title: Time synchronization

I have installed ntp and executed commands

# ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Karachi /etc/localtime
# hwclock --systohc --localtime

but time is not synchronized on my openbox nutyx installation.

Help is needed here please

try this;

sudo date +%T%p -s "03:53:13PM"
          sudo hclock -w

For help man date

Thanks , these commands fix time but on reboot time is out of synchronizations once again.

Hum, strange because the last command is to save the configuration.in the last command did you see something wrong?

$  sudo hwclock -w
no errors but date and time both are wrong Sun Jan 8:53 am at moment on my laptop

Post the content of cat /etc/localtime Did you try the tips I passed on ntp?
